Atom game

Form a continuous reincarnation chain through historical figures from someone alive to someone alive during the finish date.

The challenge is to minimize the interval between the death of the previous and the birth of the next. With a good historical knowledge across different fields and some creativity, you should be able to create a mental image of the epoch and think about who could have died around that time.

Also availible as a weekly challenge!

Some rules:

1. Using Google and Wikipedia is not only allowed but encouraged;
2. on the other hand, sites or queries like 'list of people who died in 1763' are cheating.
3. Select only figures you know at the very least by name (in which case a reading of the Wikipedia entry is suggested :) ).
4. Nationality or field are not important, the personalities can be quite obscure, as long as historically relevant on some field.
